Achieving Results in Communities

Woods & Gardens

We aim to ensure ongoing management of those spaces, whether by our own groups, or other regular volunteers.

Some of the spaces where we work are open to the general public, with ongoing volunteering opportunities

Such as Foundry Wood, Packmores Community Garden, Priory Park and New Street Burial Ground.
We also work with groups or organizations to create therapeutic gardens.

Foundry Wood

Foundry Wood is a managed access community woodland created by ARC in 2013.

Packmores Community Garden

ARC started delivering a Wellbeing in Nature group at Packmores Community Garden in late 2020.

Priory Park

In 2021, ARC were invited by the Friends of Priory Park to initiate a nature trail around the park to engage the community in this wonderful green space in Warwick town centre.

New Street Burial Ground

Throughout 2017 and 2018 ARC transformed the underutilised and neglected, disused burial ground on New Street in South Leamington into a colourful, creative community space.

Packington Place

In 2015 and 2016 ARC worked with the local community to transform an ugly concrete patch next to the Packington Place carpark into the first ‘Pocket Park’ for Leamington spa.

Therapeutic gardens

ARC have created two Therapeutic gardens to date. The Way Ahead Project (WAP) is a homeless drop-in service run by the Salvation Army.
